About The Role

This post is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and will oversee the management and operations of the Community Hubs in Worthing and Littlehampton, as well as the management of residential services within Littlehampton.

The hub service offers support to those who are homeless and vulnerably housed, focusing on increasing their wellbeing through community inclusion and sourcing and sustaining suitable accommodation. It offers an open drop-in session throughout the week for practical support and advice, as well as wellbeing groups and workshops, supported by a team of specialists including the substance misuse and wellbeing worker, tenancy sustainment worker & early engagement workers, and an advice and assessment team.

This role is fixed-term until August 2027, covering maternity leave.

About You

  • A dynamic, responsive, and inspiring leader and mentor, who can identify and develop talent and support individual and team development.
  • A good networker and communicator who possesses strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop partnerships and influence key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates creativity and a willingness to initiate and embrace change and new approaches, whilst enjoying and delivering a variety of competing priorities.
  • Passionate about fostering diversity, inclusivity, and equity within the community.
  • Strong IT skills specifically around the use of databases and Excel, with the ability to analyse data and effectively use it to improve outcomes.
  • Good understanding of the homeless sector and the factors that lead to and magnify the impact of homelessness on individuals and communities.
  • Good knowledge of effective health & safety, compliance, and maintenance of properties.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing teams and effectively developing services.
