Our Role
We are looking for three Community Managers to come and join our community team. You will play a key role in driving day-to-day engagement across our community, building meaningful relationships, and supporting initiatives that connect our community to our broader company goals. This role blends hands-on community engagement, relationship building, and brand representation.
You’ll act as an important link between our users, creators, partners, and internal teams, helping ensure we’re listening, responding, and showing up in ways that feel authentic and consistent. You’ll contribute to shaping the tone of our community interactions while maintaining a strong understanding of what our community needs and values.
This role requires empathy, and credibility within online communities, along with the ability to navigate both everyday interactions and more complex or high-pressure moments with confidence and care.
- Be at the heart of modding communities and be a constant and available presence to them. You are the face of Nexus Mods.
- Keep in regular contact with key persons in modding communities, even when there's nothing to discuss, to show Nexus Mods is available to them and ready to listen at all times.
- Understand how Nexus Mods operates and effectively communicate our policies, values and standards.
- Spread the joy and excitement of modding. Engage positively with members of the community even when they do not.
- Liaise between Nexus Mods and modding communities, easing friction and helping to make modding easy.
- Communicate relevant business news and changes to modding communities and key individuals.
- Report relevant news and changes within modding communities to the wider business.
- Defuse high-tension situations and foster an environment of understanding.
- Conduct user research and interviews, document feedback in digestible formats and share it with the wider team.
- Identify problems and opportunities in modding communities via real-world testing.
- Validate problems and opportunities in modding communities via quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
- Work with the Product team to craft actionable, prioritised backlogs.
- Solve user problems quickly and effectively.
- Deeply understand gaming and modding, sharing that knowledge with the wider team.
- Keep abreast of developments in gaming and modding, sharing insights and opportunities with the wider business.
- Take advantage of upcoming events in gaming to ensure Nexus Mods capitalises on them.
- Build brand loyalty and position Nexus Mods as the modding platform for every community.
- Ensure mod authors and collection curators are recognised for their efforts.
- Identify community modding projects that would benefit from investment from Nexus Mods.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
