Community Mental Health Nurse (Ref: 251765)

Position Type: Substantive

Hours: Full Time – 36 hours per week

Salary: Band 6 - Salary Range £43,231 - £52,679 per annum

Additional Allowances:

  • Distant Islands Allowance of £2,578 per annum
  • Relocation package of up to £8000

About the Role

This is an excellent and exciting opportunity for an experienced mental health nurse to join our dynamic Community Mental Health Team. We are looking for registered nurses (RMN), with relevant nursing experience in community settings, crisis teams, and ideally in rural areas. Post-graduate education would be advantageous. The post holder will build on existing experience as part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering best-practice, evidenced-based interventions to individuals who require mental health support and treatment. They will have a sound working knowledge and understanding of current Mental Health policy and legislation. The post holder will undertake assessments of individual need; development, implementation, and evaluation of individually planned care together with other members of the multidisciplinary team and partner agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Be part of a team who provide both scheduled and unscheduled care which supports patients who require immediate input.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of multi-agency working are essential.
  • Take part in the on-call rota.
