Registered Mental Health Nurse – Wimborne Adult CMHT

We are excited to recruit a registered Mental Health Nurse to join the Wimborne Adult Community Mental Health Team (CMHT).

We welcome applicants who are passionate about recovery-oriented care, prioritise a person-centred approach, and thrive in a close-knit, collaborative team environment.

You will receive strong support in your clinical practice, professional development, and ongoing supervision from the Team Leader.

Role Overview

  • Provide specialist mental health care, including:

    • Assessments
    • Interventions
    • Treatments
    • Caseload management as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Deliver care with a high-quality, person-centred focus while upholding safety, privacy, and dignity.

Note: Experience in community mental health is beneficial but not essential.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work as a member of an integrated multi-disciplinary team, which includes:

    • Psychiatrists
    • Nurses
    • Other mental health practitioners
    • Support Time Recovery Workers
    • Business support and psychology team
  • Assess and monitor patients in their homes and community settings (requirements a valid driving licence and access to a car).

  • Provide evidence-based, high-quality care tailored to individual needs.


Requirements

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (you must be on the NMC register)
  • Enhanced DBS check (covered by the Trust; existing DBS Update Service subscribers can present valid certificates)
  • Essential IT literacy
  • Right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship not available).
