1.8 Full-Time & 1 Part-Time Vacancy: Mental Health Practitioner (Band 6)

We are seeking two (1.8 WTE) experienced Mental Health Practitioners with backgrounds in Nursing, Occupational Therapy (OT), or Social Work. You must demonstrate exceptional assessment and communication skills and the ability to deliver compassionate, person-centred care to those experiencing mental health crises, including patients, carers, and referrers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work within the Neighbourhood Mental Health Team, supporting individuals in community-based settings
  • Conduct mental health assessments and manage risk safely
  • Deliver holistic care, fostering strong relationships with patients, carers, and third-sector partners
  • Collaborate with other specialist teams, local authorities, and Primary Care
  • Undertake home visits and in-site sessions with patients
  • Develop skills and progress your career in a supportive, diverse environment

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Nurse, OT, or Social Worker with relevant post-qualifying experience
  • Experience in mental health assessment and risk management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with emphasis on empathy and person-centred care
  • Willingness to embrace opportunities for training and development
