Community Nursery Nurse

An exciting opportunity to join the Coventry Health Visiting Teams as a Community Nursery Nurse.

About the Role

You will be a crucial part of supporting challenging and vulnerable families across Coventry. This role demands respect, sensitivity, and strong communication skills to guide parents in effectively caring for their children.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Building therapeutic relationships with clients to foster trust, acknowledging the diverse needs within our community.
  • Contributing to clinics and promoting positive health messages.
  • Conducting developmental reviews and referring children to additional services where necessary.
  • Applying esspotial behaviour management techniques for positive parenting while accounting for cultural values and mental health considerations.

Core Duties:

  • Conduct developmental assessments.
  • Provide advice, guidance, and care interventions for parents/carers related to:
    • Toileting and bedwetting
    • Behaviour management
    • Parenting advice
    • Facilitating parenting groups
