Woodgreen Pets Charity

Location: Godmanchester

Salary: £29,739 - £33,043 per annum depending on experience

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Closing Date: 2026-07-26

At Woodgreen, we believe every pet deserves a safe, loving home.

That’s why we’re transforming how we support pets and their owners—taking our expertise into communities, helping families overcome challenges before they reach crisis point. Our growing Community Outreach team is central to that ambition, working directly with pet owners, communities and partner organisations to improve pet welfare, strengthen communities and prevent unnecessary pet relinquishment.

About the Role

As a Community Outreach Officer, you’ll be at the heart of that mission, delivering practical, compassionate support where it’s needed most. Working directly with pet owners through home visits, community events and remote support you will identify pets at risk and provide practical advice on health, welfare and behaviour helping owners access Woodgreen services and other local support. By building trusted relationships with community groups, charities, local authorities and other partners you will deliver outreach projects that respond to local community needs, contributing ideas and helping to pilot new ways of improving pet welfare in communities.

Key Responsibilities

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
