Community Payback Supervisor
Location: NPS MACMILLAN HOUSE, OXFORD OX1 1BN | NPS UNITS 9 AND 10, TALISMAN BUSINESS CENTRE, BICESTER OX26 6HR
Key Requirements (Mandatory)
Candidates must hold:
- A full UK Manual Driving Licence (Automatic licence applicants are not considered).
- The right to work in the UK (see Civil Service nationality rules).
Role Overview
This operational role involves supervising unpaid work groups of offenders serving community sentences. You will:
- Lead small teams in manual tasks (e.g., litter picking, graffiti removal, land景ore restoration).
- Transport service users/equipment using community assets.
- Drive vehicles for role-related activities.
Core Purpose: Help rebuild trust in communities by supporting offenders through constructive work.
About the Role
Daily Responsibilities
- Supervise up to 7 hours/day of group work at unpaid placements.
- Weekend shifts mandatory: Rotate Saturdays/Sundays (with pre-agreed day-offs).
- Mobile workforce: Short-notice cover for evening tasks possible.
- Active environment: Physically demanding, varied tasks (no identical "typical" day).

Payment Details
- Starting salary: £28,064 per annum.
- 7-day week work: Higher pay rate (50% for weekends).
- Progression: Annual Competency-Based Framework (CBF) increases.
