Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and reliable Phlebotomys to join our community team supporting patients across Mid Essex. The role offers a rewarding opportunity to provide high-quality phlebotomy services to patients in their own homes, residential care settings and community clinics. You will play a vital role in supporting local GP practices and community healthcare teams by providing safe, efficient and patient focused blood collection services.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for delivering timely diagnostic venepuncture and INR testing, in line with established protocols, for housebound and community-based patients across a diverse caseload. The role requires the ability to work independently in community settings while remaining an integral part of a supportive and collaborative team.
Responsibilities include ensuring accurate specimen labelling, the safe and secure transportation of samples to designated collection points and consistently maintaining patient comfort and dignity throughout each interaction.

The Phlebotomy Service is a relatively small team but we cover a large part of MidEssex for Domiciliary Blood tests and Anticoagulation monitoring(INR) We now have a position available for health care professionals who would like to become part of this very busy and productive team to enable us to push forward and deliver a first class service.
