We are looking for a enthusiastic band 5 Podiatrist

We are looking for a enthusiastic band 5 Podiatrist to join our Podiatry department, to work across both the community (0.6FTE) and rheumatology team (0.4 FTE) within East Dorset.

This is an exciting opportunity to work across two teams to enhance your skill set. You will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills both with podiatry colleagues, patients and the wider members of the healthcare team with whom we work, e.g. GPs, district nurses, MDTs. You will work on your own as well as part of a team. We value people who can put forward new ideas for service improvement and use their initiative with a real ‘can do’ attitude.

In East Dorset, the community team provides a range of podiatry services focusing mainly on routine community clinics, addressing the foot needs of a variety of conditions. The rheumatology service is focused on managing patients with inflammatory arthritis and connective tissue diseases. There is a proactive approach to foot-related problems ranging from supporting self-management through to addressing the tissue viability and musculo-skeletal (MSK) problems in these patient groups. The post holder will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosing, planning and implementation of Podiatric Care to patients within both the community and rheumatology service.

We would welcome applications from newly or recently qualified podiatrist who is looking to develop their clinical skills.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
