Job Introduction

We are looking for an enthusiastic Community Reablement Manager to join our dedicated team in The Bradford Reablement Service (formerly BEST) in the Department of Adults Services, Bradford Metropolitan District Council. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference in our vibrant and diverse city, providing reablement support to the citizens of Bradford living in the community.

To work 37 hours per week between the hours of 07:00 and 22:00 on rota including weekends and bank holidays and participation in out of hours 'on call' management rota.

The Main Responsibilities For This Role

  • To ensure that the service remains compliant with CQC.
  • Responsibility for the effective management of teams and apprentices.
  • To ensure the flexible and effective use of staffing to ensure that the BMDC geographic areas capacity is maximised.
  • Responsible for recruitment and onboarding pathway for new staff members including Apprentices.
  • To deliver on-going monitoring through supervision and performance management in accordance with the Departments unit plan and CQC.
  • Responsible for the management of quality performance monitoring.
  • To monitor and manage staff attendance at work in line with the Council’s sickness absence management procedure.
  • Ensure all care packages meet the 2014 Care Act criteria domains.
  • To convene and chair team meetings within the service areas and externally.
  • To performance manage and undertake formal management investigations.
  • Identify and provide learning and development opportunities when identified or required.
  • Work in partnerships to provide the best outcomes through recording, monitoring and auditing systems.

Qualification requirement (used for short listing)

RQF Level 5 Care Management Diploma (or working towards) or equivalent (see job profile for equivalents).

Experience

5 years relevant management experience.
