Are you experienced in supporting customers to build confidence, develop life skills and live independently? We're offering a 12-month fixed term opportunity to become a Community Support Worker at Amplius.
Working closely with customers, colleagues and partner agencies, you’ll provide person-centred support that helps people facing homelessness move towards greater independence, wellbeing and long-term housing stability.
Salary: £28,040.47 per year
Contract: 12-month fixed term contract
Your week: 37 hours - Monday to Sunday between the hours of 8am - 10pm on a rolling rota.
Location: Gainsborough HRS, Lincolnshire
Snapshot of your role
- Provide housing-related support tailored to individual needs, helping customers maintain and increase their independence.
- Act as a key worker, developing and reviewing support plans and risk assessments with customers.
- Support customers to manage their tenancy, including rent payments, utilities, reporting repairs and maintaining their home.
- Build positive relationships with customers, encouraging social inclusion, wellbeing and engagement within the local community.
- Work with statutory and voluntary agencies to coordinate and deliver effective support programmes.
- Maintain accurate records, reports and support documentation, monitoring customer progress and outcomes.
- Promote safeguarding, health and safety, equality and customer involvement while managing risk appropriately within the service.

What we’re looking for
- GCSEs in English and Maths at Level 4-9 (or equivalent).
- Relevant experience working within housing related support services.
- Knowledge and understanding of different vulnerabilities and the challenges faced by people from a range of backgrounds.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and the ability to promote customer wellbeing and safety.
- The ability to demonstrate empathy, maintain confidentiality and apply data protection principles appropriately.
- Strong listening, communication, negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to engage with people in a non-judgemental manner.
- Good administration skills, with attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and reports using Microsoft Office, email and internet-based systems.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, building positive relationships with customers and partners.
