Community Support Worker | Salary £25,494 Pro Rata | 20 hours per week | Permanent, Part time | Lancashire
£25,949 plus some great allowances as shown below…
33% increment at weekends, 50% increment for Bank Hols
We are currently recruiting to our Short Breaks Service…
Caring and reliable Community Support Worker's to work within the Preston, Chorley and South Ribble Service in Adult Social Care at Lancashire County Council.
We are looking for cheerful and positive individuals who would like to make a difference to the people we support, to come and join our team. Our Short Breaks Service require multiple Community Support Workers to join us in making a substantial difference to the lives of the people we support within our Adult Disability Service.
You will be welcomed into people's short break service and ensure their overnight support is safe and comfortable and meets their needs. It is not essential that you have a background in Health and Social Care, you just need to have a good heart and a caring nature. We provide all the required training to ensure you get the most from your role, with qualifications on offer it's a great opportunity to progress in this service and turn it into a career to be proud of!
This is a 20 hour per week post, between the hours of 21.30 and 07.30.

Empathy & Resilience – you will have an understanding of the challenges the people we support deal with which means an empathic nature is of upmost importance – you will need bags of motivation and be able to keep going even on the more difficult days – the needs of our service users can be complex and you may face challenging behaviour but your determination and dedication to excellent care will make it feel easy – it is essential that you are able to communicate clearly and effectively with every individual providing reassurance and positivity.
