Driving Miss Daisy – Companion Driver Role
Meet the Team
If you have a passion for caring for people and love to drive, Driving Miss Daisy Didcot are looking for compassionate individuals like you to join their team as Companion Drivers on a full-time basis.*
They bridge the gap between taxis, public transport, and voluntary agencies. Their focus is on helping senior citizens and vulnerable people of all ages remain independent and safe, such as:
- Taking people to medical appointments or collecting prescriptions
- Organizing shopping trips and outings
- Offering companionship both at home and during outings
- Transporting children and young adults (including those with Special Educational Needs) to/from school or activities

About the Role
Applicants must demonstrate:
- A background in care or experience in caring for people (e.g., family members)
- A genuine passion for working with vulnerable individuals
- Person-centric care as a core approach
Key Responsibilities
✔ Drive with compassion and professionalism ✔ Provide caring companionship services ✔ Demonstrate time management, organization, and prioritisation ✔ Escalate concerns such as accidents, issues, or client emergencies
