Company Accountant
The Role
The Company Accountant will oversee financial operations and reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Based in Newcastle, this role requires a detail-oriented professional with expertise in managing financial records and processes.

Description
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Maintain and oversee the general ledger, ensuring all entries are properly recorded.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes effectively and efficiently.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Monitor cash flow and provide regular financial updates to management.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with external auditors as required.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function.
- Support the wider Accounting & Finance department with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting tasks.

Profile
A Successful Company Accountant Should Have
- A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, or CIMA).
- Proven experience in financial reporting and general ledger management.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively.
