Description

  • Manage and enhance strategic sourcing initiatives for comparator drugs
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop sourcing strategies that ensure the reliable and cost-effective supply of comparator products for clinical studies.
  • Negotiate pricing, support and develop supply agreements, and commercial terms with pharmaceutical manufacturers, wholesalers, and specialty suppliers.
  • Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships to support global clinical trial requirements.
  • Deliver value through cost savings, risk mitigation, and supply chain optimization.
  • Support customer bids, RFIs, RFQs, and feasibility assessments through sourcing expertise and market intelligence.
  • Monitor market trends, product availability, and supply risks, proactively identifying alternative sourcing strategies when required.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to manage shortages, mitigate supply chain risks, and ensure continuity of supply.
  • Support our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.
  • Ensure a reliable, compliant, and cost-effective procurement of comparator drugs.

  • Advanced Degree plus 3 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of procurement/sourcing experience in mid-to-large multinational companies, with strong category management expertise.
  • Preferred Fields of Study: Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related field.
  • Professional certifications (CPSM, CSCP, CPM, MCIPS) are desirable.
  • Proven success executing strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and contract management.
  • Demonstrated experience sourcing comparator drugs, ancillary supplies, or other clinical trial materials preferred.
  • Experience working in regulated industries such as life sciences, clinical research, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or medical devices preferred.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical supply chains, global sourcing markets, and supplier networks is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with pharmaceutical manufacturers, wholesalers, and specialty suppliers preferred.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, spend analytics, and procurement tools.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to build consensus and collaborate across global matrix organizations.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving cost savings and process improvements.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Ability to travel 5-25% or as required depending on skillset
  • Fluency in English required; additional languages beneficial.
  • Comprehensive understanding of procurement best practices, processes, and methodologies.
  • Experience with continuous improvement/lean methodologies.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
