Responsibilities

Group Salary Structure Development and Benchmarking

  • Manage the group salary structure, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals and competitive market positioning and keep it updated
  • Regularly review and update salary bands and grading structures to reflect market trends, internal equity, and organizational changes.
  • Collaborate with HR and senior management to ensure salary structures are applied consistently across all regions.
  • Conduct regular salary benchmarking to ensure the company’s compensation packages are competitive within the industry and across regions.
  • Analyze market data and trends to make informed recommendations on salary adjustments and pay strategies.
  • Work with external consultants and vendors as necessary to obtain accurate and up-to-date market data.

Performance-Based Compensation

  • Design and manage performance-based compensation programs, including annual variable salaries, long-term incentives, and other variable pay structures.
  • Collaborate with HR and management teams to align performance metrics with business objectives and ensure that performance-based pay effectively motivates and rewards employees.

International Benefits Management

  • Develop and manage international benefits programs, including health, retirement, and welfare plans, ensuring they are groupwide consistent, competitive, compliant, and aligned with local regulations.
  • Oversee the administration of international benefits, working closely with local HR teams to ensure smooth implementation and management.

EU Pay Transparency Directive

  • Follow the legal processes and adaptations in the countries that we operate in
  • Design and manage the right measures to be compliant with the local laws
  • Be the centerpoint of competence for HRBP, Talent Acquisition and managers in the field
  • Implement an information process and manage the internal tool
  • Own the annual reporting

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop one direct report – a newly established role focused on HR Analytics & AI and the administration of Compensation & Benefits.

Requirements

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related fields.
  • Certification in compensation and benefits (e.g., CCP, GRP) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in compensation and benefits management, with a strong focus on international compensation.
  • Proven experience working with German-headquartered companies, especially those operating in Europe.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent understanding of international compensation and benefits trends, practices, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in salary benchmarking tools and compensation management software.
  • Deep understanding of job grading including grading methods of WTW, Mercer or other providers.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively present and explain complex compensation concepts to senior management and employees.
  • Passion and inspiration for innovative Compensation & Benefit approaches to become a driving force for change within the company.
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors or other HR Management Systems preferred
  • Takes initiatives and is self-driven
