Complex Care Assistant

Complex Care Support Worker (Female) – Loughborough, Leicestershire

Pay Rate: £15.14 per hour

Hours: Monday & Tuesday | 09:30–21:30 (12-hour shifts)

Are you passionate about supporting people to live fulfilling, independent lives? We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate Female Complex Care Support Worker to join our team and provide person-centred support to a lady in her 30s living in Loughborough, Leicestershire.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with one individual, helping her achieve her goals, enjoy her hobbies, and maintain an active social life while receiving the specialist support she needs.

About The Role

You will be supporting a friendly and sociable lady who lives with her husband in an adapted bungalow. Following a brain injury, she has complex clinical needs including:

  • Right-sided paralysis
  • Neuropathic pain
  • Sensitivity to touch
  • Risk of seizures

She enjoys creativity, music, crafting projects, and spending time in the community, including visits to the park, zoo, cinema, theatre, and ballet. Your role will involve providing both practical and emotional support, enabling her to enjoy life to the fullest while maintaining her comfort, dignity, and independence.

What We're Looking For

Due to the client's specific needs, this position is open to female applicants only under the Equality Act 2010 occupational requirement provisions.

We Are Looking For Someone Who Has

  • Experience in support work and/or complex care
  • A genuine passion for making a positive difference
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, compassionate, and empathetic approach
  • Reliability, flexibility, and commitment
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviours
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a wider team

Most importantly, you'll be able to build a trusting and supportive relationship with the client and her family.

Key Responsibilities

As a Complex Care Support Worker, You Will

  • Support with personalised daily routines and care plans
  • Assist with personal care, mobility, and activities of daily living
  • Use specialist equipment, including hoists
  • Administer medication and monitor health conditions
  • Provide emotional support, encouragement, and companionship
  • Maintain accurate records and report any changes in wellbeing
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and family members
  • Support social and community-based activities
