Complex Care Assistant – Leighton Buzzard

Company Description

Location: Leighton Buzzard

Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour

Shifts Available:

  • Day Shifts: Wednesday (8.45 am – 8.45 pm), Thursday (8.45 am – 2 pm), Friday (8.45 am – 8.45 pm)
  • Waking Nights: Monday (8.45 pm – 8.45 am)

Job Description

What You’ll Do

We’re seeking a compassionate, proactive Complex Care Assistant to support a wonderful, homebound client in Leighton Buzzard.

Role Summary:

  • Provide managing medical and social well-being support in a personalised, caring environment.
  • Help care for loved cats, foster gardening enthusiasm, and engage in meaningful conversations.
  • Facilitate access to the client’s independence and contribute to a memorable, supportive quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with tracheostomy care
  • Provide ventilator support
  • Carry out catheter care
  • Deliver personal care assistance
  • Prepare meals and drinks
  • Shop for groceries
  • Offer light cleaning and laundry aid
  • Transport the client to appointments and visits

Requirements

What You’ll Need

  • While complex care experience is not mandatory, this is an ideal opportunity to commence a fulfilling career. All the necessary training and guidance will be provided from competent carers and skilled nurses.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential, given transportation needs (car availability for appointments and outings).
