Catastrophic Injury Solicitor – Birmingham / Manchester – Hybrid – Up to £53,000
A leading defendant insurance law firm is seeking an experienced Complex Injury Solicitor to join its specialist team in Birmingham or Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, high-value personal injury claims, acting on behalf of major insurer clients while benefiting from the support of a highly regarded national practice.
About the Role
As a Complex Injury Solicitor in Birmingham or Manchester, you will manage a varied caseload of serious injury matters, including claims involving life-changing injuries, while working closely with senior lawyers and partners on technically challenging and high-profile cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of complex injury and large loss claims from inception to resolution
- Handling matters involving serious and complex injuries, including multi-million-pound claims
- Conducting liability, causation, and quantum investigations
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and other legal documentation
- Liaising with clients, counsel, experts, and other stakeholders
- Developing and implementing case strategies to achieve the best outcomes
- Attending conferences, mediations, and court hearings where required
- Collaborating closely with partners and senior lawyers on complex litigation
- Ensuring compliance with client service standards and court deadlines

Requirements for the Candidate
- Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive, or experienced Litigation Executive
- Strong experience handling catastrophic injury, large loss, or complex personal injury matters
- Proven understanding of the litigation process and Civil Procedure Rules
- Experience dealing with insurer clients is advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent drafting and communication abilities
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines effectively
- Commercially aware with a proactive approach to case handling
- Team player who can also work independently
