Take Your Large Loss Career to the Next Level

We're looking for a talented Large Loss Lawyer to join our highly regarded Complex Injury team at Keoghs. This is an opportunity to work on high-value, complex injury claims while developing your own caseload and building strong relationships with leading insurer clients. The role is primarily based in Southampton, however we are open to candidates based at any Keoghs office location.

Why Join Us?

  • Opportunity to work on some of the most challenging and rewarding large loss claims in the market.
  • Exposure to claims valued from £five hundred thousand through to multi-million-pound catastrophic injury matters.
  • Supportive and collaborative team environment.
  • Opportunity to develop specialist expertise in large loss litigation.
  • Flexible office location across the Keoghs network.
  • Career development within a recognised market-leading defendant insurance practice.

What You'll Be Doing

Your work will include:

  • Managing your own EL / PL & RTA caseload of high-value multi-track injury claims.
  • Assisting on complex and higher-value RTA/EL/PL claims, including catastrophic injury cases where claims are valued up to and exceeding £1 million.
  • Advising insurer clients on liability, quantum, indemnity and litigation strategy.
  • Drafting pleadings, defences and technical legal advice.
  • Working closely with experts, counsel and insurer clients to achieve the best outcomes.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, with opportunities to generate and attract your own instructions if desired.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
