SEN Complex Needs Teacher
Specialist SEND School: Uxbridge, Hillingdon
A lovely specialist school in Uxbridge is seeking a dedicated and skilled Complex Needs Teacher to join its experienced and supportive team.
This is a rewarding opportunity to teach children and young people aged 7-19 with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), and additional complex needs, across a range of key stages. Pupils are working at a variety of levels, including Entry Level and Functional Skills pathways.
The Role
The Successful Candidate Will
- Take responsibility for the progress and outcomes of all pupils within their class.
- Lead and coordinate a team of SEND Teaching Assistants to deliver high-quality, consistent provision.
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative and highly personalised lessons aligned to agreed timetables.
- Teach core subjects, including English, in meaningful and functional contexts.
- Adopt a holistic approach, drawing on a range of educational and therapeutic strategies to meet individual needs.
- Promote pupils' independence, communication and social development.
- Ensure the safety, wellbeing and safeguarding of all pupils at all times.

The Ideal Candidate
We Are Looking For a Teacher Who
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has experience teaching pupils with SEN, particularly complex needs and/or SLD.
- Has either Primary or Secondary teaching experience.
- Can deliver outstanding teaching as part of a multi-disciplinary classroom team.
- Has experience leading within a subject area and driving pupil progress.
- Maintains high expectations and believes firmly that every pupil can achieve.
- Demonstrates patience, resilience and a calm demeanour, with the ability to remain positive under pressure.
- Is fully committed to safeguarding and child protection.
