Job Title: Compliance Agent
Responsible to: Compliance Manager
Interfaces with: All PCA colleagues, customers, suppliers/vendors, clients
Location: Exchange Quay, Manchester, UK (with ability to work hybrid) Contract Start: June 2026 Salary: £27,000 – £29,000 per annum Working Hours: 37.5 hours (Monday – Friday)
About the Role
Join Phillips and Cohen Associates (UK) Ltd in their Manchester office as a Compliance Agent. You’ll support over 70 of the UK’s largest creditors in maintaining robust compliance practices.
Responsibilities
- Conducting second line of defence checks, including:
- Customer journey reviews
- Quality assurance (QA) monitoring
- Writing reports and organising remedial actions from second line checks and follow-up actions
- Undertaking compliance-related project work as required
- Providing feedback, coaching, and compliance training as needed
- Conducting trend analysis of compliance-related issues
- Supporting the business with regulatory questions and queries
- Completing monthly reports for clients
- Managing the day-to-day compliance mailbox
- Compiling and presenting compliance/regulatory reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Assisting with complaints reporting
- Attending client audits to discuss:
- Results of second line audits
- Complaints
- Trends in data
- Collaborating with the PCA UK Liverpool Compliance team
- Coordinating multi-office compliance reporting

Essential
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a highly regulated environment
- Proficiency in providing and receiving constructive feedback
- Strong analytical skills with ability to:

- Conduct trend analysis
- Report findings effectively
- Compassionate and mature approach
- Ability to prioritise workload and work efficiently under challenging deadlines
Technical & Administrative
- Experience responding to customer complaints/queries (telephone & written)
- Effective time management and task prioritisation
- Culturally adaptable verbal communication
- Computer literacy required
Educational Requirements
- Minimum GCSE Grade ‘C’/‘4’ or equivalent in English Language
- (Preferred) Degree or equivalent qualification
