Personal Independence Analyst (Compliance in Business Operations) – Elevate Programme for early careers talent
Location: Belfast, 3 days/week onsite
Start Date: 10th August 2026
Contract: Full-time, with strong potential for progression
The Opportunity
Join the Elevate Programme and launch your career at a leading professional services organisation. Over 18 months, you will receive structured training, mentoring, and hands-on experience in compliance operations and personal independence case management. You will work alongside experienced professionals from day one, take ownership of meaningful operational activities, and develop skills that can lead to progression into compliance, risk, governance, and wider operational roles.
Your Role

We're hiring PI Analysts through our Elevate Programme in Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with detail, interpreting policies, solving problems, and helping ensure important regulatory requirements are met.
In this role, you'll support the Personal Independence (PI) function, helping to protect the firm's reputation by ensuring compliance with independence requirements and professional standards. You'll manage cases from initiation through to completion, review declarations, respond to stakeholder queries, apply policy guidance, and contribute to delivering a high-quality and efficient operational service.

What you'll be doing
You'll be responsible for managing personal independence casework and operational activities, ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with established policies and procedures.
Your day-to-day work is likely to include:
- Managing your own caseload and progressing cases through the full lifecycle.
- Reviewing independence declarations and supporting compliance assessments.
- Applying policies, procedures, and operational guidance to case decisions.
- Responding to stakeholder queries in a professional, timely, and accurate manner.
- Managing mailbox activity and communication channels in line with service standards.
- Maintaining accurate records within workflow, case management, and tracking systems.
- Escalating complex, high-risk, or exception-based matters when required.
- Identifying risks, errors, or compliance concerns and raising them through appropriate channels.
- Supporting the delivery of service level agreements and operational objectives.
- Applying feedback and quality assurance outcomes to continuously improve performance.
- Contributing to team discussions, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Supporting a culture of quality, compliance, and operational excellence.

What a typical day could look like
- Joining a morning huddle to review priorities, workload, and operational updates.
- Reviewing your caseload and identifying cases requiring immediate attention.
- Assessing independence declarations against established policies and guidance.
- Responding to stakeholder queries and requests via email or other communication channels.
- Updating workflow systems and ensuring records remain accurate and complete.
- Escalating complex issues requiring additional guidance or approval.
- Collaborating with colleagues to resolve queries and share knowledge.
- Reviewing workload progress and planning priorities for the following day.
What We're Looking For
We're open to graduates, career changers, and individuals with some early professional experience. You do not need to have worked in compliance or independence before.

Essential Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and workload prioritisation skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to follow and consistently apply policies, procedures, and guidance.
- Good judgement and the ability to identify and escalate risks appropriately.
- A proactive and accountable approach to work.
- Confidence working independently while contributing to team objectives.
- Strong IT skills and the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience working in an operational, compliance, risk, governance, or administrative environment.
- Familiarity with case management, workflow, or ticketing systems.
- Experience working with policies, procedures, or regulatory requirements.
- Experience managing stakeholder queries or customer service requests.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- An interest in compliance, risk management, regulation, or professional services.
