Compliance and Assurance Lead – Remote (UK)
Location: United Kingdom (Remote work – applicants must reside in the UK)
Reporting To: Associate Director of Clinical Audit, Quality & Risk
Position Overview
Remuneration: £50,000 per annum + £1,000 remote work allowance
Contract: Fixed Term (6 months) / Full Time (40 hours per week)
Closing Date: Monday, 13th July (reserve the right to close early due to application volume)
Occasional Travel: Required for in-person meetings at various UK locations

As the Compliance and Assurance Lead, you will drive organisational compliance, quality assurance, and continuous improvement while supporting safe, high-standard care aligned with regulatory (CQC) requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Quality Strategy delivery, tracking progress against objectives, KPIs, and CQC domains
- Monitor internal reviews, quality action plans, escalating risks and milestones
- Scoop and analyse quality/compliance data, identifying trends and deficiencies for service improvements
- Oversee CQC inspection readiness, including evidence preparation, self-assessments, and regulatory action planning
- Maintain expertise in the CQC mental health assessment framework and compliance literature
- Produce Quality Accounts, assurance reports, and governance updates for stakeholders
- Collaborate with clinical, operational, and Quality & Safety teams to ensure SMART, evidence-based action plans
- Provide regular assurance reports to senior leaders and governance committees
- Work cross-functionally to enhance regulatory compliance, risk management, and quality assurance

Who This Role Is For
You will thrive as our Compliance and Assurance Lead if you have: ✔ A degree or equivalent work experience in quality, governance, compliance, healthcare management, or a related field ✔ Work experience within (or supporting) mental health services ✔ Specialist knowledge of CQC regulatory frameworks and clinical governance standards ✔ Proven track record of preparing for CQC assessments, producing statistical reports, and maintaining QMS documentation ✔ Strong risk management, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills

Desirable (Bonus!) Skills
- Deep expertise in psychiatric care pathways and service delivery
- Experience in mental health commissioning or standards setting
- report writing skills, particularly for regulatory submissions
- Supervisory team management experience (aligns with team assurance needs)
