Role: Compliance and Internal Control Manager
Location: HARIBO Castleford (hybrid working; three days in the office and two days working from home)
Working hours: 38 hours per week
Salary: Competitive plus up to a 7% annual bonus
Position type: Permanent
We are on the hunt for a ‘Compliance and Internal Control Manager’ to come and join our happy world of HARIBO! Are you forward thinking, proactive and always strive for continuous improvement? If so, you could be the key business partner we’re looking for!
This crucial role is responsible for supporting the management of compliance and internal control for HARIBO UK and Ireland including; information security, legal coordination, GDPR and Supply Chain coordination.
You will report directly into our ‘Head of Finance’ whilst also working in partnership with a whole host of internal HARIBO UK and Ireland departments as well as parties such as External Law Firms, the Global Legal and Compliance and Internal Audit Teams.

- Supporting with the development of systems, processes and reporting to drive forwards continuous improvement and strengthen internal controls
- Ensuring compliance rules and procedures are established to ensure appropriate authorisation for decisions and expenditure
- Ensuring compliance training is conducted in relation to the HARIBO code of conduct, Anti-trust, Data Protection and Anti-corruption as well as developing e-learning as required
- Conducting inhouse audits, Internal Control System roll out and managing the Group Internal Audit
- Monitoring legal contact in conjunction with the Head of Finance
- Providing quarterly reporting on all legal issues
- Forming the link between the Information Security Office and HARIBO UK and Ireland
- Ensuring policies and procedures are up to date
- Acting as the key contact for all GDPR matters and ensuring all process owners are trained and accountable
- Conducting the annual due diligence assessment of suppliers
- Being a member of the GDPR steering committee
