Compliance Associate Are you a proactive and curious compliance professional ready to take on a pivotal role in a fast-paced, regulated environment?
We are seeking a Compliance Associate to join our team, focusing primarily on KYC/KYB processing to strengthen our defenses against financial crime. You'll be at the forefront of our compliance efforts, using your sharp analytical skills to identify and prevent suspicious activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a few years of experience to make a significant impact and grow their career in a supportive team.
What you will be doing
As a Compliance Associate, your main focus will be due diligence checks and Transaction Monitoring. Your day-to-day will involve:
KYC, Due Diligence & Compliance Reviews:
- Performing Know Your Customer (KYC) processing and reviewing potential matches from PEP (Politically Exposed Persons) and Sanctions screening.
- Carrying out Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) on high-risk clients and complex cases.
- Executing Ongoing Due Diligence (ODD) through periodic reviews and compliance checks.

Transaction Monitoring:
- Conducting real-time and post-event transaction monitoring to spot and investigate suspicious activities.
- Helping to refine our transaction monitoring rules and procedures as new risks emerge.
- Generating insightful compliance reports to support data-driven decisions.
General Compliance Support:
- Assisting the Head of Compliance & MLRO (Money Laundering Reporting Officer) with daily compliance tasks.
- Assessing business activities for compliance risks and contributing to mitigation strategies.
- Staying on top of regulatory changes and evolving financial crime trends.
- Preparing compliance reports for both regulators and internal stakeholders.

Who you are
You are a detail-oriented team player with a passion for financial crime prevention.
Your Experience
Ideally, you have some experience in a compliance, AML, banking, or cards environment.
Your Knowledge
You're familiar with AML regulations, the FCA Handbook, and various financial crime typologies.
Your Skills
- You possess strong analytical and investigative skills with a keen eye for detail.
- You're proficient in Excel and other compliance systems/reporting tools.
- You also know how to handle sensitive information with complete discretion.
Your Attributes
- You're curious, proactive, and a quick learner.
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- You're a solution-oriented team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
