Compliance Business Partner – Fixed-Term (London)

Overview
Join Gallagher as a Compliance Business Partner based in London, supporting our European business. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract—with the potential for the right candidate to transition into a permanent role at the end of the term.
You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring regulatory compliance while enabling our teams to deliver world-class service. Limited travel across Europe may occasionally be required.
How You’ll Make an Impact
As a Compliance Business Partner, you’ll collaborate across European teams to provide expert compliance guidance and advocacy. Your work will ensure we meet regulatory demands while upholding professional standards—supporting sustainable business growth and maintaining trust.
Key Responsibilities
- Balance risk and opportunity: Support the business in aligning compliance risks with commercial initiatives.
- Develop compliance strategies: Advise on frameworks, policies, and procedures to mitigate risk.
- Lead cross-border compliance projects: Oversee workstreams for business expansions, transformations, and mergers.
- Stay ahead with regulatory insights: Apply research and proactive analysis of European regulators’ updates and guidance.
- Foster a compliance culture: Build strong internal relationships and drive engagement across all levels.

About You
You’re a confident communicator with a deep understanding of the insurance broking sector and European regulatory frameworks. You thrive in dynamic environments and are driven by ethical leadership.
Requirements
- Proven experience in compliance roles within the insurance or reinsurance sector.
- Hands-on experience interacting with European regulators (e.g., EIOPA, local authorities).
- Breadth of knowledge in conduct risk and cross-border regulatory complexities.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads.
- Collaborative, persuasive, and influential—able to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Eligible to work in the UK and Italy.
