At Greenzone, we're looking for a Compliance Coordinator to join our team in Newark, Nottinghamshire.
Working from our premises in Newark, Nottinghamshire, this role is ideal for a highly organized and motivated individual with extensive administrative experience.

What You’ll Do
The Compliance Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring compliance across multiple areas:
Core Responsibilities
- Supplier Audits: Conduct desktop supplier audits for onboarding and periodic reviews
- Record Maintenance: Keep up-to-date records of supplier audits per Company requirements
- Supply Chain Liaison: Work with the Supply Chain team to ensure effective management of the supply chain
- Regulatory Knowledge: Maintain a current and working understanding of:
- Health and safety
- Fire safety
- Waste management laws (including those relevant to suppliers and waste brokers)
- Supplier Monitoring: Review supplier operations and performance against Company values, policies, and procedures
- Commercial Insight: Analyse suppliers, competitors, and future legislative changes to support:
- Identification of new suppliers
- Cost savings and profit maximisation
- Delivery of innovative, cost-effective waste management solutions

Key Focus Areas
Compliance
- Stay updated on waste management laws, guidance, and best practices
- Follow Company systems, processes, and policies to ensure adherence to waste-related legislation
- Conduct desktop audits to assess supplier compliance and verify Company Software documentation
- Identify and report non-compliant suppliers to relevant internal teams
Health and Safety & Fire Safety
- Maintain knowledge of legal requirements, guidance, and industry best practices in these areas
- Ensure proper system usage to comply with:
- Workplace health and safety regulations
- Fire safety laws (for employees, visitors, and contractors)
ISO Compliance
- Support administration of existing ISO standards:
- ISO 14001 (Environmental Management)
- ISO 9001 (Quality Management)
- OHSAS 45001 (Health & Safety)
- ISO 27001 (Information Security)
- Implement quality control standards as required
- Conduct and manage internal audits

- Optimise company resource usage across all responsibilities
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve Company objectives
- Drive continuous improvement of internal processes and systems

About You
Skills & Traits
- Excellent communication (both oral and written, ensuring professionalism, accuracy, and clarity)
- Highly organised with strong record-keeping skills
- IT-proficient (familiarity with Company systems, though training will be provided)
Experience
- Desirable: Experience in waste management roles
- Desirable: Track record of building strong stakeholder relationships
- Desirable: Experience maintaining ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and 27001 standards
Qualifications (Desirable)
- IOSH Managing Safely certification
- Fire Warden qualification
- First Aider certification
