Compliance Coordinator
The Compliance Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring that Leaf Living meets all regulatory, statutory, and internal compliance requirements across its residential property portfolio. This position supports the Compliance Manager and operational teams by monitoring compliance activities, maintaining accurate records, and auditing and enhancing internal processes.
The successful candidate will help implement compliance initiatives across the business, working closely with both internal stakeholders and external partners. This role is key to promoting a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Essential
- Previous experience in a compliance, operations, or administrative role within residential property, real estate, or a regulated environment (typically 1–3 years).
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy when handling data and documentation.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret information and identify trends or issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word).
Desirable
- Knowledge of UK residential property compliance, including health & safety regulations (e.g. gas safety, fire safety, electrical compliance).
- Understanding of complaints handling frameworks (e.g. The Property Ombudsman guidance).
- Familiarity with data protection legislation (Data Protection Act 2018).
- Experience supporting audits or compliance monitoring activities.
- Awareness of current and emerging legislation affecting the private rented sector.
- Institute of Residential Property Management qualification

Compliance & Audit
- Conduct internal audits across operational processes to assess compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for process improvement, providing actionable recommendations.
- Support remediation activities and track progress against audit findings.
Complaints Management
- Monitor formal complaints through the company’s complaints handling process.
- Ensure all complaints are acknowledged and responded to within prescribed timeframes.
- Maintain accurate complaint records and support reporting on trends and outcomes.

Compliance Monitoring & Reporting
- Collect, analyse, and collate operational compliance and performance KPIs.
- Produce reports for internal stakeholders to support compliance oversight and decision-making.
- Assist in maintaining compliance registers and trackers.
Policy & Process Development
- Support the development, review, and updating of company policies and procedures to ensure alignment with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of compliance frameworks as the business evolves.
Data Protection & Governance
- Assist the business in fulfilling its statutory obligations under data protection legislation (e.g. UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018).
- Support data governance practices, including records management and data handling procedures.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with teams across the organisation, providing guidance and constructive challenge where required.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including contractors, and regulatory bodies where necessary.
Project Support
- Assist with compliance-related projects and initiatives aligned with business objectives.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Compliance Manager.
General
- Undertake ad hoc tasks and responsibilities as reasonably required.
