Compliance Engineer

Compliance Engineer – Permanent Role, Severn Beach, Bristol

As a Compliance Engineer, you will ensure our Design, Production, Test, and Service departments stay compliant with the latest relevant legislation, providing critical guidance and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with NPI/Engineering teams to ensure new products meet all relevant directives and standards.
  • Create, review, and update product Technical File documents.
  • Conduct risk assessments and regulatory/industry standard assessments.
  • Identify non-conformities, propose product/process improvements, and initiate Fracas fault reports (FRNs).
  • Chair and prepare minutes for safety reviews.
  • Support UL, CSA, and Semi S2 inspections.
  • Perform EMC emission measurements and assist with EMC immunity testing.
  • Collaborate across departments to maintain product compliance.
  • Develop compliance guidelines and training classes for NPI/Engineering teams.
  • Assist in the creation of Working Instructions, Test Procedures, and manual content.
  • Conduct customer visits (including overseas) for Plasma Technology support when required.

What We’re Looking For

Education/Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences (preferred, but not mandatory)
  • HNC/HND or equivalent qualifications accepted if relevant to the role
  • Ideally, experience in electro-mechanical engineering specifically with plasma processing equipment

Professional Skills

  • Pragmatic, logical, and methodical problem-solving approach
  • High attention to detail with efficiency in task execution
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
