Compliance Engineer
Compliance Engineer – Permanent Role, Severn Beach, Bristol
As a Compliance Engineer, you will ensure our Design, Production, Test, and Service departments stay compliant with the latest relevant legislation, providing critical guidance and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with NPI/Engineering teams to ensure new products meet all relevant directives and standards.
- Create, review, and update product Technical File documents.
- Conduct risk assessments and regulatory/industry standard assessments.
- Identify non-conformities, propose product/process improvements, and initiate Fracas fault reports (FRNs).
- Chair and prepare minutes for safety reviews.
- Support UL, CSA, and Semi S2 inspections.
- Perform EMC emission measurements and assist with EMC immunity testing.
- Collaborate across departments to maintain product compliance.
- Develop compliance guidelines and training classes for NPI/Engineering teams.
- Assist in the creation of Working Instructions, Test Procedures, and manual content.
- Conduct customer visits (including overseas) for Plasma Technology support when required.

What We’re Looking For
Education/Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences (preferred, but not mandatory)
- HNC/HND or equivalent qualifications accepted if relevant to the role
- Ideally, experience in electro-mechanical engineering specifically with plasma processing equipment
Professional Skills
- Pragmatic, logical, and methodical problem-solving approach
- High attention to detail with efficiency in task execution
- Strong communication and influencing skills
