Compliance Information Specialist - HVAC

What you can expect from us

About the Role

We are recruiting for a Compliance Information Specialist – HVAC on a permanent basis within our Building Safety and Compliance team. Your role will ensure that compliance-related work is properly recorded, enabling the HEVAC team to maintain comprehensive, accurate, and up-to-date records of:

  • Scope of works completed
  • Payment records for contractors
  • Effective monitoring of performance and expenditure

Data Management

  • Support the HEVAC Manager in maintaining accurate records of proposed, completed, planned, and scheduled HVAC maintenance and works
  • Ensure data is updated to meet asset management and financial requirements
  • Align with company policies and procedures

Certification & Remedial Actions

  • Record, verify, and ensure compliance with certificates and reports from related works
  • Identify non-compliances and remedial work needing attention
  • Liaise with relevant colleagues for action

Report Validation

  • Assist in creating and validating performance reports on landlord compliance activities

Information Analysis

  • Support the HEVAC Manager in analysing programme data for decision-making, performance enhancement, and strategy development

Performance Information

  • Help establish and implement a comprehensive performance framework across compliance works

System Administration

  • Ensure efficient management of systems for delivery of compliance-related works, including:
    • Creation and administration of work orders, budgets, and payments
    • System-driven documentation for contractor management

Audit Support

  • Provide accurate information for internal and external audits as required

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of:
    • Core Housing Systems, Business Planning, and Asset Management systems
    • Property management, maintenance, and landlord compliance
  • Experience in a customer-focused environment
  • Ability to promote good practice across Onward
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Collaboration experience with external stakeholders
  • Advanced IT skills, particularly:
    • Microsoft Word & Excel
    • Housing Asset Management & database systems
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams while maintaining independent organisation & efficiency

Essential Qualifications

  • Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent

Desirable Qualifications

  • Level 4 VRQ in Asset and Building Compliance Awareness (or equivalent)
  • Level 4 VRQ in Electrical Safety Management (Social Housing), or similar
