Compliance Manager – Senior Leadership Opportunity

About the Role

Are you the compliance professional who thrives on influencing outcomes—not just enforcement? Do you challenge, advise, and shape strategies that protect customers while driving commercial success?

This isn’t just another compliance role. It’s a chance to genuinely shape regulatory strategy, champion Consumer Duty, and embed a culture where ethical decision-making is at the heart of business operations.

Within our Risk & Conduct function, the Compliance Manager will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, ensuring robust frameworks align with regulatory expectations and foster customer-centric growth. You’ll balance practical governance with strategic influence, translating regulatory complexities into actionable insights that create meaningful business impact.

Senior Responsibilities

Your role will be pivotal in defining and reinforcing compliance excellence—with true accountability and visibility throughout the organisation.

Key Accountabilities Include:

  • Leading end-to-end compliance monitoring (including regulatory returns and reporting) to ensure alignment with FCA expectations and evolving industry standards
  • Providing credible challenge and strategic advice to senior leaders, senior executives, and business stakeholders, balancing regulatory guidance with commercial reality
  • Anticipating regulatory shifts (FCA, Conduct Risk, Front Running, Consumer Duty) and translating them into practical, proactive measures for the business
  • Design and deliver compliance reporting with actionable insights, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Own the governance and accountability framework, ensuring embedding of regulatory expectations across all business units
  • Lead due diligence on outsourced partners (suppliers, third-party providers) to mitigate risks
  • Be the subject matter expert on Consumer Duty, conduct risk, and financial promotions, ensuring compliance and ethical decision-making
  • Approve and oversee financial promotions, customer communications, and code of conduct policies to minimise reputational and regulatory risk
  • Oversee GDPR and data protection compliance, including DPIAs (Data Protection Impact Assessments), subject access requests (SARs), and privacy governance
  • Innovate compliance training and awareness initiatives—making it engaging, measurable, and aligned with compliance priorities
  • Translate regulatory complexities into practical implications for senior leaders, ensuring they can make informed, customer-first decisions

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
