We're delighted to be partnering with a successful and rapidly growing consumer finance organisation to recruit a Compliance Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business undergoing significant growth and transformation, where compliance is viewed as a strategic enabler and trusted business partner rather than simply a regulatory necessity.
Reporting directly to the Head of Compliance, you'll play a key role in leading and developing a talented team while helping shape the future direction of the firm's compliance function. Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, you'll influence decision-making, drive positive customer outcomes and support the organisation as it navigates an evolving regulatory landscape.

The Opportunity As Compliance Manager, you'll be responsible for leading a high-performing team while ensuring the effective delivery of key compliance activities across the business. Key responsibilities include: Leading, coaching and developing a talented Compliance team Driving delivery of the Compliance Monitoring Plan and overseeing core compliance activities Reviewing, challenging and enhancing compliance outputs to ensure consistency, quality and meaningful insight Identifying emerging compliance risks and overseeing effective remediation actions Supporting the ongoing development and enhancement of policies, procedures and regulatory controls Providing pragmatic, commercially focused regulatory advice to stakeholders across the organisation Monitoring regulatory developments and supporting the implementation of regulatory change initiatives Producing insightful management information and reporting for senior leadership and governance committees Promoting a strong culture of compliance, good conduct and customer-centric decision making

About You
You'll be an experienced compliance professional with a background in consumer credit, lending or another FCA-regulated environment. Equally important is your ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders and develop others while helping a business grow responsibly.
Essential Experience Regulatory compliance experience within financial services Experience leading, managing or mentoring team members Conducting compliance monitoring reviews and providing effective challenge Supporting regulatory change programmes and continuous improvement initiatives Delivering clear, practical and risk-based compliance advice

Knowledge & Skills Strong understanding of FCA regulation, including Consumer Duty, CONC, SYSC and PRIN Knowledge of the Consumer Credit Act and data protection requirements Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality outcomes Ability to balance regulatory expectations with commercial objectives
