Our client is looking for a Compliance Manager to support the delivery of an effective, risk-based Compliance Programme. This is a great opportunity for a pragmatic compliance professional who can provide clear advice, constructive challenge and actionable insight across a fast-moving financial services environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of the Compliance Programme, helping to identify, assess and manage compliance risks.
  • Provide practical compliance advice and constructive challenge across projects, strategic change and day-to-day business activity.
  • Monitor regulatory obligations, conduct outcomes and emerging compliance themes.
  • Produce clear reporting and management information for senior stakeholders and governance forums.
  • Identify breaches, control weaknesses and areas of compliance vulnerability, supporting effective escalation and remediation.
  • Work collaboratively with teams across Risk, Financial Crime, Change, Operations and wider business functions.
  • Support the development of policies, procedures and compliance training.
  • Keep up to date with regulatory developments and translate them into practical guidance for the business.

About you

  • Strong working knowledge of FCA requirements and UK financial services regulation.
  • Pragmatic judgement with the ability to apply regulation in a practical, outcome-focused way.
  • Clear communication skills, with the confidence to explain complex issues simply and effectively.
  • Ability to provide constructive, evidence-based challenge while building trusted stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong risk and control mindset, with experience identifying issues and driving remediation.
  • Proactive, accountable and comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-focused approach, with an understanding of Consumer Duty and good customer outcomes.
