Compliance Manager, Employment & Immigration across Europe
Shape the future of employment compliance across Europe at TJX Europe. This is a Hybrid role based out of our Watford Campus.
We're looking for an experienced Employment Compliance and Immigration specialist to join our European HR team in a strategically important role that sits at the intersection of employment law, employee relations, immigration, governance and business risk management.
This is a unique opportunity for a subject matter expert who thrives on navigating complex legal and regulatory landscapes, influencing senior stakeholders, and developing compliance strategies that support a fast-paced, international business.
What You'll Be Doing
As our trusted expert, you'll lead and oversee employment compliance across Europe, providing specialist guidance on:
- UK & European Immigration Law
- Right to Work & Employer Liability Compliance
- Skilled Worker Sponsorship & Sponsor Licence Management
- Cross-Border Working & Posted Worker Requirements
- Employee Relations Governance & Employment Risk
- Regulatory Change & Compliance Strategy Development
- Legal & Regulatory Case Management
- Internal and External Legal Stakeholder Management
You'll be the key advisor to HR leaders, people managers, and business stakeholders, ensuring our practices remain compliant, commercially sound, and aligned to evolving legislation across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the lead expert for all immigration, sponsorship, and right-to-work matters across Europe.
- Manage complex UK and European immigration cases, partnering with external legal counsel and immigration providers.
- Provide strategic advice on cross-border working arrangements, mobility, and international employment considerations.
- Ensure robust Sponsor Licence compliance, governance, and reporting obligations are met.
- Lead investigations, risk assessments, and compliance reviews relating to employment and immigration matters.
- Develop and implement compliance frameworks, controls, and governance processes that mitigate organizational risk.
- Partner closely with Employee Relations, HRBPs, Legal, and Global Mobility teams to provide practical, commercially focused advice.
- Monitor legislative developments and translate complex legal requirements into scalable HR policies and business processes.
- Build strong relationships with regulators, legal partners, and senior internal stakeholders to strengthen compliance practices across the region.

We're keen to speak with professionals who bring:
- Extensive experience in UK immigration and right-to-work compliance
- Strong knowledge of European employment compliance and cross-border employment practices
- Significant experience managing sponsored worker programmes and Sponsor Licence obligations
- A strong background in Employee Relations and employment law risk management
- Experience developing and delivering compliance strategies within a complex, multinational environment
- The ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders on high-risk and sensitive matters
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with both internal leaders and external legal advisors
