Compliance Manager – Aira
About Aira

- Dynamic electrical tariffs
- Cutting-edge home solar systems
- Advanced battery storage solutions
Role Overview
UK-wide responsibility for multi-discipline compliance and governance, ensuring:
- Safe, compliant, and high-quality delivery of operational activities
- Accreditation, auditing, and compliance frameworks for:
- Electrical and gas installations
- Hot water systems
- Safe isolation protocols
- Renewable technologies
It upholds legislative requirements, industry regulations, and internal quality standards across all installation and service operations.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance & Governance
- Lead operational compliance across all UK installation and service activities.
- Ensure adherence to:
- Legislation, industry regulations
- Accreditation schemes
- Company policies
- Oversee compliance frameworks for:
- Electrical and gas work
- Hot water systems
- Safe isolation procedures
- Renewable technologies
- Maintain oversight of company accreditations, certifications, and third-party compliance.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve:
- Compliance policies
- Procedures
- Operational standards
- Monitor legislative changes, industry guidance, and regulatory updates.
- Implement necessary adjustments.
- Maintain robust governance for:
- Employed engineers
- Subcontractors
- Supply partners.
- Support technical management and quality assurance across multiple disciplines.

Auditing & Quality Assurance
- Lead a national program of operational audits and inspections.
- Review:
- Installation quality
- Certification accuracy
- Compliance documentation.
- Conduct root cause analysis of:
- Defects, incidents
- Customer complaints
- Non-conformances.
- Drive corrective and preventative actions.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on:
- Compliance KPIs
- Audit findings
- Quality performance.
- Identify trends for continuous improvement of:
- Operational standards
- Compliance systems
- Customer outcomes.

Training & Competency
- Collaborate with Aira Academy & Training teams to design compliance-focused training programs.
- Identify competency gaps and design development plans.
- Deliver:
- Toolbox talks
- Compliance briefings
- Technical updates.
- Support engineer upskilling in:
- Heat pumps
- Battery storage
- Solar systems
- Emerging technologies.
Leadership & Team Management
- Provide direct line management, coaching, and development for a team of Quality Surveyors (QS).
- Set objectives and monitor performance.
- Support professional development and growth within the compliance team.
- Ensure consistency in:
- Auditing
- Technical decision-making
- Compliance standards.
- Foster a culture of:
- Accountability
- Collaboration
- Continuous improvement
