Compliance Manager

Compliance Manager

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to join an organisation undergoing significant investment in its compliance function.

This is a period of real change and growth in this area—creating opportunities to make a meaningful difference in elevating compliance.

As a trusted adviser and constructive challenger to the business, you will:

  • Assess the effectiveness of the compliance framework
  • Monitor regulatory risks
  • Provide independent, practical guidance to support informed decision-making

You will play a key role in embedding a strong compliance culture, ensuring good customer outcomes, and protecting the organisation from regulatory, conduct, and reputational risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor regulatory developments, legislation, industry guidance, and enforcement activity to identify emerging compliance requirements
  • Oversee the implementation of regulatory changes, ensuring compliance obligations are effectively embedded
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance compliance policies, procedures, and supporting frameworks
  • Conduct compliance risk assessments to identify gaps and ensure effective mitigating controls are in place
  • Support governance processes to ensure regulatory expectations are reflected in business decision-making
  • Provide independent second-line oversight of first-line compliance activities
  • Challenge business decisions where regulatory risks or control weaknesses are identified
  • Produce evidence-based reports, rate findings, agree remediation actions, and independently monitor delivery through to completion
  • Support investigations into compliance incidents, identifying root causes and recommending improvements
  • Act as a subject matter expert during regulatory reviews, audits, and inspections
  • Prepare clear and insightful compliance reports for senior leadership and governance committees
  • Promote a culture of integrity, accountability, and ethical decision-making

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
