Compliance Manager
Compliance Manager
We are seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to join an organisation undergoing significant investment in its compliance function.
This is a period of real change and growth in this area—creating opportunities to make a meaningful difference in elevating compliance.
As a trusted adviser and constructive challenger to the business, you will:
- Assess the effectiveness of the compliance framework
- Monitor regulatory risks
- Provide independent, practical guidance to support informed decision-making
You will play a key role in embedding a strong compliance culture, ensuring good customer outcomes, and protecting the organisation from regulatory, conduct, and reputational risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor regulatory developments, legislation, industry guidance, and enforcement activity to identify emerging compliance requirements
- Oversee the implementation of regulatory changes, ensuring compliance obligations are effectively embedded
- Develop, maintain, and enhance compliance policies, procedures, and supporting frameworks
- Conduct compliance risk assessments to identify gaps and ensure effective mitigating controls are in place
- Support governance processes to ensure regulatory expectations are reflected in business decision-making
- Provide independent second-line oversight of first-line compliance activities
- Challenge business decisions where regulatory risks or control weaknesses are identified
- Produce evidence-based reports, rate findings, agree remediation actions, and independently monitor delivery through to completion
- Support investigations into compliance incidents, identifying root causes and recommending improvements
- Act as a subject matter expert during regulatory reviews, audits, and inspections
- Prepare clear and insightful compliance reports for senior leadership and governance committees
- Promote a culture of integrity, accountability, and ethical decision-making

About You
You’ll be an experienced compliance professional with strong knowledge of interpreting regulation and the confidence to provide independent oversight while building effective relationships across the business.

Essential Experience & Skills
- Experience in 2nd line compliance roles within a regulated industry, ideally financial services, gaming, or betting sectors
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret complex regulations and communicate them clearly to a range of stakeholders
- Strong report writing and presentation skills
- Experience engaging with senior leadership and governance committees
- High levels of integrity, sound judgement, and attention to detail
- Confidence to provide constructive challenge while maintaining positive stakeholder relationships
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to influence change
