Job Description This is a second line of defence compliance role within the Advisory Team. It will focus on driving the development and continuous improvement of SquareTrade Ltd, SquareTrade Europe Ltd, SquareTrade Europe BV Ltd (collectively referred to as SquareTrade) against relevant regulations such as FCA, MFSA and FSMA. Job Responsibilities Managing the delivery of the Product Oversight and Governance (POG) framework, further reviewing, developing and enhancing the framework Assisting the business in meeting the requirements of Product Oversight and Governance processes to ensure the systems and controls SquareTrade have in place to design, approve, market and manage products throughout the products lifecycle demonstrate compliance with UK and EU product requirements. To support the Senior Manager in monitoring fair value on an ongoing basis through the POG and products lifecycle. To schedule, co-ordinate and attend the POG committee meetings, including delivering the POG documentation in a timely manner to the Senior Manager, ensuring SquareTrade completes any agreed actions and ensuring appropriate record keeping. To support the delivery of Conduct Risk management, including monitoring MI on an ongoing basis to identify any cause for concern and, where appropriate, work with the business to implement appropriate controls to mitigate risks identified. To provide advice and training to the business in respect of Product Oversight and Consumer Duty. To lead the delivery of the Consumer Duty monthly Forum, including co-ordination of MI. To support the Senior Manager in the delivery of the quarterly Consumer Duty Committee, guiding 1st line to update the required content, advising and challenging to ensure good customer outcomes and compliance to the FCA requirements. To help drive forward good conduct for the business to deliver the best outcomes for customers/policyholders. To provide the Senior Manager with relevant support/guidance on launches. To become the Operations compliance expert supporting change initiatives, undertaking relevant monitoring and providing advice to the business. Supporting the Senior Manager in ensuring the Operations teams drive a compliant culture. To provide compliance review and sign off of relevant Operations training materials. Support the rest of the business by providing guidance and advice when relevant. Maintaining good working relationships with the wider Compliance team. Providing reporting/updates for the Senior Manager when relevant. To keep abreast of all relevant regulatory and legal requirements concerning the Compliance Advisory function. Supporting the Senior Manager with any other key tasks in relation to the delivery of Compliance across the business Job Requirements Strategic thinking skills Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills Able to work independently Able to deal with all levels of the organisation A team player with a service/business enabler mentality Excellent planning and organisational skills Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the the ability to produce good quality reports and presentations Able to interpret regulations and provide practical context Ability to build effective working relationships IT literate Qualifications Preferably Degree Educated/ACII qualified Regulatory Qualifications in a relevant sector would be an advantage (or working towards qualifications) Good demonstrable understanding of UK/EEA Insurance Sector Sound regulatory knowledge FCA and ideally FSMA, MFSA, NBB Must have relevant previous work experience in Product Governance, Consumer Duty and regulatory change within a Financial Services FCA regulated business providing or distributing products to retail consumers. Ideally, relevant previous work experience in regulation within a FCA, MFSA or FSMA regulated insurance business providing or distributing products to retail consumers. Ideally with experience of general Insurance products and sector Must have relevant previous work experience in Product Governance, Consumer Duty and regulatory change within a Financial Services FCA regulated business providing or distributing products to retail consumers. Ideally, relevant previous work experience in regulation within a FCA, MFSA or FSMA regulated insurance business providing or distributing products to retail consumers. Ideally with experience of general Insurance products and sector Additional Information We work in a hybrid model: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home.
