Compliance Manager
Compliance Manager / Senior Compliance Manager
Location: Manchester | Working Model: Hybrid Salary: Negotiable
A dynamic opportunity has opened within a fast-growing financial planning company, redefining advice, technology, and compliance through an innovative approach.
Unlike a traditional compliance role in a large corporate, this business is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager or Senior Compliance Manager who wants to actively shape its future as it scales.

The Role
This is a hands-on, multi-faceted position that bridges compliance oversight with strategic growth. You’ll work closely with advisers and senior leadership to develop a performance-oriented compliance culture that:
- Ensures strong client outcomes while supporting ambitious expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Case reviews & oversight – Conduct rigorous compliance reviews to uphold regulatory adherence.
- Adviser support & training – Collaborate with advisers on regulatory training and competence development.
- Framework & process enhancement – Continuously evolve compliance systems, frameworks, and controls for efficiency.
- First-time-right culture – Drive operational excellence to minimise errors and improve consistency.
- Tech & AI integration – Identify ways to leverage technology and AI for process optimisation.
- Adviser guidance & mentorship – Offer coaching, support, and actionable feedback to advisers.
- Scalable system design – Contribute to the architecture of modern, sustainable compliance systems.
- Future operating model – Partner with senior stakeholders to shape the company’s evolving compliance strategy.

About You
Candidates should ideally be an experienced Compliance Manager or Senior Compliance Professional who thrives at the intersection of technical compliance and commercial strategy.
To excel in this role, you will:
- Have wealth management or financial planning experience in a regulatory context.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of FCA regulations and best practice advice standards.
- Showcased experience in training & competence support for advisers.
- Enjoy systems and process optimisation, not just maintenance.
- Be tech-advanced and open to AI’s potential for compliance efficiency.
- Be commercially informed, problem-solving, and results-driven.
- Flourish in a collaborative and entrepreneurial culture, addicted to shaping growth.
- Be excited by the prospect of influencing compliance functions in a scaling business.
