Role: Compliance Monitoring Manager

Work Type: Permanent, Part-time (16.5 hours per week, working Thursday & Friday)

Location: Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham (1 day on site)

Salary: Up to £20k per annum

Are you an experienced Compliance professional looking for a part-time role where you can make a real impact? We're seeking a Compliance Monitoring Manager to play a key role in strengthening our second line of defence and ensuring our business continues to meet regulatory expectations while delivering fair customer outcomes.

Reporting to the Risk & Compliance Director, you'll lead the development and delivery of the Compliance Monitoring Framework, Annual Monitoring Plan, and monitoring activities across the business. You'll provide independent assurance, identify regulatory risks, and work closely with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Developing and maintaining the Compliance Monitoring Framework and Annual Monitoring Plan.
  • Conducting compliance monitoring reviews and testing regulatory controls.
  • Identifying, assessing, and mitigating compliance risks across the business.
  • Producing insightful monitoring reports and presenting findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Providing expert compliance advice and guidance to management teams.
  • Supporting the development of compliance policies, procedures, and best practice.
  • Ensuring FCA requirements and fair customer outcomes remain at the heart of business activities.
  • Keeping pace with regulatory developments and advising on emerging risks.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in Compliance Monitoring, Compliance, Quality Assurance, Audit, or Risk within an FCA-regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of FCA regulations, Conduct Rules, SM&CR, and regulatory risk management.
  • Experience developing monitoring plans, conducting compliance testing, and writing detailed reports.
  • Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence and challenge constructively while building strong relationships across the business.
  • Relevant qualifications such as an ICA Diploma in Governance, Risk & Compliance or equivalent would be advantageous.
