Role Availability
Please note: at this stage, the role is open only to colleagues currently employed by the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB) and Southeast Integrated Care Boards; and current at-risk employees within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Compliance Officer to join the Corporate Governance Team at NHS Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative, governance or compliance experience to contribute to a busy and high-profile area of the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate internal audit logistics, track actions and maintain accurate audit trackers; prepare draft progress updates for review by the Audit, Risk & Compliance Manager.
- Analyse documents and datasets for errors, gaps and trends; summarise key findings and suggested follow ups for manager approval.
- Interpret policy and regulatory guidance at a basic/operational level to support day to day compliance activities; seek advice on complex or ambiguous requirements.
- Plan and organise assigned tasks across multiple workstreams, maintaining schedules and trackers; escalate risks to time/quality promptly.
- Provide resilience cover to the Committees Team for core administration activities, ensuring continuity under supervision.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with internal stakeholders and auditors; coordinate updates and support the preparation of papers and briefings, including formatting and quality checks.
- Act as a completer–finisher with strong attention to detail, ensuring high quality outputs and adherence to agreed processes.
