Role Description

Quality

  • Consult with all Customers Quality departments and related quality issues.
  • Advise UK team on any related quality issues, compliance and implementation.
  • Overseeing of the returns process / RMA logs, processes working closely with purchasing.
  • Conduct supplier quarterly review meetings, record and log for review at Managers meetings.
  • Consult and consult with External Auditors and host any questioning and visits / audits.
  • Oversee the ongoing maintenance for the Ex-Eltronics (UK) approved supplier list and certification requests.
  • Maintain Ex-Eltronics UK Customer approval status, satisfaction and quality directives.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of EX-Eltronics UK FAIR reporting and records.
  • Oversee reject management, Reach, WEEE, Conflict materials and advise / respond to customer requests or complaints.
  • Maintain Ex-Eltronics UK Tool & Equipment Register including calibration where required.

Export duties

  • Responsible for Ex-Eltronics UK Export compliance with current legislation.
  • Consult with UK HMRC, Department of International Trade (ECO) and attend training sessions to keep up to date with current UK legislation.
  • Liaise / field customer quality questions and host customer visits / site audits.
  • Oversee / advise UK team with regards to INCO Terms and deferment issues.
  • Conduct Export Review of all required transactions through the UK business.
  • Responsible for the Maintenance and compliance of Ex-Eltronics UK Specific customer and trade Licenses applications and record keeping.
  • Determination and guidance of Commodity coding for all products including import duty rates of products sourced outside the UK.
  • Point of contact for customer License / ECCN questions and queries.
  • Complete supplier End-use certification requests.
  • Maintain and consult with customers to obtain/maintain end-use undertakings as required.

Additional Duties

  • Overseeing, communicating and managing any sanctions requests / company policies & sanctions, Aukus etc.

Shadow role

  • Arranging shipping with Couriers and Freight forwarders.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Compliance Management and Regulatory Compliance, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant aerospace and defense regulations.
  • Well-developed Analytical Skills to evaluate risks, assess controls, and support data-driven compliance decisions.
  • Effective Communication skills, including clear written reporting and the ability to explain complex compliance matters to diverse stakeholders.
  • Understanding of Finance principles to assess the compliance impact on transactions, contracts, and supply-chain activities.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or highly regulated industries is beneficial, particularly within supply-chain or procurement environments.
  • Proven ability to work on-site in a collaborative environment, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO, AS9120) and familiarity with audit processes are advantageous.
