Risk & Compliance Officer

Cheshire | Hybrid Working - 2 days office
£40,000 + Benefits

Join a growing, technology-led financial services business where Risk & Compliance is at the heart of decision-making.

We're recruiting a Risk & Compliance Officer to join a fast-paced, FCA-regulated organisation that is investing heavily in its governance and control environment.

About the Role

This is a broad, hands-on role offering exposure across Compliance, Operational Risk, Financial Promotions, Appointed Representative Oversight and Regulatory Governance. You'll work closely with senior leaders across the business, helping shape a strong compliance culture while ensuring customers remain at the centre of every decision.

If you enjoy variety, autonomy and influencing the business rather than simply policing it, this could be an excellent next step.

You'll play a key role in supporting the firm's regulatory and risk framework, including:

  • Supporting compliance with FCA regulations including SYSC, PRIN, COND and ICOBS
  • Reviewing and approving financial promotions across digital and offline channels
  • Managing Appointed Representative oversight, including monitoring and due diligence
  • Maintaining risk registers, control testing and operational risk reporting
  • Conducting compliance monitoring reviews and thematic testing
  • Supporting incident, breach and customer outcome investigations
  • Drafting and reviewing policies, procedures and governance documentation
  • Providing day-to-day compliance advice to stakeholders across the business
  • Delivering compliance training and promoting a positive risk culture
  • Producing meaningful MI and reporting for senior management

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
