About BizAlign

BizAlign is building an integrated mobility and insurance ecosystem, combining telematics, fleet technology, AI-driven analytics, and insurance solutions. As we expand our insurance business, we are looking for an experienced Compliance Officer to help establish and maintain a strong regulatory compliance framework in line with UK insurance regulations.

Role Overview

The Compliance Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the company's regulatory compliance framework. The role will ensure that BizAlign operates in accordance with FCA requirements, Consumer Duty, and applicable insurance regulations while supporting the company's growth as an MGA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the company's compliance framework.
  • Monitor compliance with FCA rules, the FCA Handbook, and relevant legislation.
  • Implement and maintain Consumer Duty requirements.
  • Draft and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
  • Conduct compliance monitoring and internal audits.
  • Provide regulatory advice to senior management.
  • Review business processes to identify compliance risks.
  • Manage regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Liaise with the FCA, insurers, incubator partners, and external consultants.
  • Deliver compliance training across the business.
  • Support product governance and approval processes.
  • Ensure appropriate record keeping and documentation.
  • Assist with FCA authorisation or ongoing regulatory obligations.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience in UK insurance compliance, preferably within an MGA, broker, insurer, or insurtech.
  • Strong understanding of FCA regulations.
  • Knowledge of Consumer Duty.
  • Understanding of insurance distribution regulations.
  • Experience developing compliance policies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in insurance compliance.
  • Professional compliance qualification (desirable).
  • Experience working with FCA-authorised firms.
  • Experience supporting MGA or delegated authority businesses.
  • Familiarity with telematics or motor insurance is advantageous.
