Compliance Officer - Law Firm
We are seeking a highly motivated Compliance Officer to support a Law Firm with the ongoing development and maintenance of risk management, regulatory compliance, and governance processes.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with compliance experience within a law firm who is looking to develop their career in a supportive and collaborative team.
The Role
Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring regulatory obligations are met, supporting risk management initiatives, and providing practical compliance guidance across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to compliance queries relating to AML, client onboarding, source of funds checks, GDPR, and regulatory requirements.
- Act as an escalation point for junior team members.
- Draft, review, and maintain risk and compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
- Support regulatory audits, accreditations, and compliance monitoring activities.
- Conduct AML, Source of Funds, and Source of Wealth audits and identify key trends.
- Carry out electronic AML and conflict checks where required.
- Deliver compliance and risk training to new starters and support wider training initiatives.
- Assist with professional indemnity claims, incident reporting, and complaints handling.
- Maintain compliance registers and prepare management reports.
- Keep up to date with legal and regulatory developments and undertake compliance research.

About You
- Previous experience within a Risk & Compliance role within a Law Firm.
- Good understanding of AML regulations, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Comfortable working with case management and database systems.
