Responsibilities

Are you a surveillance or compliance professional with experience in Fixed Income or FX markets?

We're a leading global investment bank hiring a Compliance Officer into our Capital Markets Surveillance team in London.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile surveillance function responsible for identifying and mitigating market conduct risks across Fixed Income and FX businesses. Working alongside international teams across EMEA, APAC, and the Americas, you'll play a key role in protecting market integrity while helping the business navigate an evolving regulatory landscape.

The Role

As part of the Communications Surveillance team, you will be responsible for monitoring employee communications, investigating potential conduct concerns, and supporting the ongoing enhancement of surveillance controls and frameworks.

You'll work closely with Compliance, Front Office, Risk, and global surveillance colleagues to identify emerging risks, conduct investigations, and contribute to projects that strengthen the firm's surveillance capabilities.

This role offers significant exposure to Fixed Income and FX markets and would suit someone keen to build their expertise within a highly respected global Compliance function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct communications surveillance across Fixed Income and FX businesses.
  • Review and investigate surveillance alerts, identifying potential market conduct and regulatory risks.
  • Produce clear and concise investigation reports and present findings to key stakeholders.
  • Support regulatory reporting obligations and internal governance requirements.
  • Partner with Compliance, Front Office, and Risk colleagues on surveillance-related matters.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of surveillance methodologies, controls, and technologies.
  • Monitor emerging regulatory developments and assess their impact on surveillance activities.
  • Participate in strategic initiatives and continuous improvement projects across the global surveillance function.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
