Compliance Onboarding Analyst
CDD Introduced Onboarding Analyst – Edinburgh, UK (Full Time)
Location: Edinburgh Employment Type: Full Time Working Arrangement: In-office, 4 days per week

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD) for individuals and corporations, including Simplified and Enhanced Due Diligence.
- Screen, review, and assess clients for adverse media, sanctions (UN, EU, OFAC), and Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) risks.
- Verify and update client records in compliance with FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) guidelines, UK/EU AML (Anti-Money Laundering) directives, and internal risk frameworks.
- Collect and assess KYC/KYB documentation, such as:
- ID verification
- Proof of address
- Ownership structures (trusts, partnerships, beneficial ownership)
- Perform real-time sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screening, escalating flagged cases as required.
- Conduct Client Risk Assessments, producing clear, structured, and compliant reports.
- Collaborate with internal/external teams to resolve onboarding bottlenecks and improve compliance.
- Ensure GDPR compliance, maintain audit readiness, and keep thorough records of all due diligence.
- Continuously review and improve CDD processes, suggesting automation and efficiency gains.

Who You Are
We’re looking for a ** detail-oriented, risk-aware professional** with a passion for financial crime prevention and emerging FinTech solutions. Your regulatory role makes a tangible difference in safeguarding the platform while enabling groundbreaking financial innovation.
This opportunity is ideal if you have: ✔ 2+ years in CDD, KYC, AML, or financial compliance within a regulated institution or fintech. ✔ Deep understanding of UK/EU AML rules (JMLSG guidance, FCA expectations). ✔ Experience assessing corporate structures, trusts, partnerships, and beneficial ownership. ✔ Strong analytical skills and unwavering attention to detail under tight deadlines. ✔ Hands-on knowledge of screening tools (e.g., Orbis, Moody’s METI). ✔ CRM/Excel mastery and experience with document management systems. ✔ Ability to work independently yet collaboratively in fast-paced environments.
Bonus Factors
Nice-to-haves include:
- Multi-jurisdictional USDK experience (cross-border AML frameworks, alternative corporate structures).
- Familiarity with EU business entities and transatlantic/originating jurisdictions.
- Curious and innovative mindset for exploring tech-driven CDD improvements.
