Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and motivated Compliance Specialist to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
Role Summary
The role provides operational compliance expertise, process governance, and cross-functional support, operating within established Quality and Global Compliance frameworks.
What you’ll be doing
Compliance Documentation Library
- Support development, implementation, and maintenance of a structured, controlled library of standard compliance and regulatory documentation, including certificates, declarations, product compliance documentation, and REACH and RoHS statements
- Ensure REACH and RoHS declarations are current, supported by appropriate supplier or material data, and reviewed in line with regulatory updates
- Operate within a controlled access model for Sales and other authorised users, ensuring:
- Only current, approved documentation is released externally
- Compliance and environmental statements are applied correctly
- Maintain document accuracy, review cycles, and control, in alignment with the Quality Management System
Supplier Compliance & Data Governance
- Support Supply Chain with the collection and maintenance of supplier REACH and RoHS declarations and material composition data
- Review supplier compliance information for adequacy, traceability, and alignment with regulatory requirements, providing Quality oversight
- Identify and flag compliance risks arising from:
- Supplier changes
- Material substitutions
- Escalate and feed identified compliance risks into Quality risk management and change control processes, working with relevant stakeholders to support mitigation actions
Product Changes & Product Transfer
- Provide input and advise on impact to product compliance, including material compliance, product certification and conformity during:
- Product changes
- Material or supplier changes
- New product introductions

- Prepare and maintain evidence packs to support external audits, inspections, and customer assessments.
- Act as a subject matter expert during audits and inspections for:
- REACH and RoHS compliance
- Regulatory and compliance documentation control
- Quality and compliance request handling
- Support audit readiness by ensuring compliance documentation is accurate, current, and inspection-ready
Quality Requests System
- Own the Quality and Compliance Requests framework, providing oversight and accountability for compliance-related requests
- Define and maintain controls including request categories, prioritisation principles, service levels, and escalation routes
- Monitor process performance, risks, and trends, providing visibility and assurance to leadership
- Ensure ongoing alignment with QMS requirements, regulatory obligations, and internal policies, driving continuous system-level improvement
Who you’ll be working with
The role will work closely with Supply Chain, Global Compliance, Global Quality, Global Operational Engineering and Strategic Business Development (SBD) to ensure regulatory and environmental compliance requirements are understood, implemented, and maintained across products, suppliers, and markets.
Skills/Experience
This is what you’ll need to be successful in this role:
Essential
- Experience in a Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, or Quality role within a regulated manufacturing environment
- Demonstrable experience in process review, improvement, or implementation within a Quality or Compliance context
- Working knowledge of international regulatory and environmental compliance, including REACH and RoHS.
- Experience working within an ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 Quality Management System
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and organisational skills
Desirable
- Experience working in an organisation with global stakeholders.
- Experience working in regulated environments, such as life sciences and/or food & beverage industries.
- Experience working with compliance metrics, reporting, or performance dashboards.
- Understanding of risk-based decision making and regulatory impact assessments.
- Degree in material science or other relevant science-based qualification
- Working knowledge and practical application of the Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC)
