We are looking for a Compliance Support Engineer to join our team, working at our client’s site in White City, London.

Location
This role is based at our client’s site in White City, London.
Our client is a world-leading clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company based at White City’s MediaWorks in London, developing next-generation programmed T-cell therapies for the treatment of cancer.
This is an on-site permanent position, five days a week.
Hours
Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm
The role may occasionally require emergency standby or call-out support following appropriate training.
Job overview
As a Compliance Support Engineer, you will help ensure that engineering maintenance activities, compliance records and asset information are accurately managed across the site.
You will take responsibility for the day-to-day administration of the site’s Computerised Maintenance Management System and Computer Aided Facilities Management processes. You will also provide practical engineering support, monitor the completion of planned and reactive tasks, and escalate urgent issues to the appropriate teams.
This role would suit someone with strong systems and organisational skills who also has experience working within an engineering or hard facilities services environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the site’s CAFM and CMMS platforms, including opening and closing tasks, updating asset information and producing reports
- Ensuring engineering maintenance documentation, compliance records and asset data remain accurate and up to date
- Monitoring service levels and tracking the completion of planned, reactive and remedial works
- Supporting the coordination of activities undertaken by the One Facility and Autolus engineering teams
- Escalating urgent faults, risks and operational issues to the appropriate engineering contacts
- Reviewing the condition and operating performance of critical building equipment
- Supporting the monitoring of utilities and environmental conditions across the site
- Responding appropriately to service interruptions, outages and emergencies
- Undertaking minor first-response repairs, including basic fabric and plumbing tasks, where competent to do so
- Carrying out occasional filter replacements and routine fan coil unit condition checks
- Supporting the controlled movement of nitrogen gas within laboratory areas, following appropriate training
- Preparing or reviewing permits to work, method statements and risk assessments for planned activities
- Supporting occasional installation, upgrade and remedial works
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, operating instructions and maintenance manuals
- Recording incidents that affect building systems or operational availability
- Obtaining and recording quotations for remedial works using the relevant internal systems
- Following agreed purchasing, purchase order and expenses processes
- Advising the Facilities Management Team of changes to critical environment or operational requirements
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety, compliance and customer service at all times

Required skills and experience
Essential
- Experience using CAFM or CMMS software to manage maintenance tasks, asset information and service levels
- Previous experience within an engineering, maintenance or hard facilities services environment
- Good computer skills and confidence using Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and assigned tasks
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A practical understanding of health and safety procedures, including risk assessments and safe systems of work
- The ability to work collaboratively with facilities, engineering, client and contractor teams
- A proactive and responsible approach to identifying, recording and escalating issues

Desirable
- Experience operating or supporting building management systems
- Practical experience in a building services trade, such as HVAC, plumbing or electrical services
- Experience working within a corporate, laboratory, pharmaceutical or other critical environment
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, including fan coil units, variable air volume systems, chilled-water circuits or chilled beams
- Experience with systems calibration or monitoring software
- Experience handling or coordinating the movement of nitrogen gas, although training can be provided
- Understanding of power distribution, uninterruptible power supplies, cooling systems and critical building infrastructure
- Experience preparing permits to work, method statements and risk assessments
- Knowledge of Construction Design and Management requirements
- Familiarity with COSHH, working at height and other relevant health and safety procedures
- An IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification
- Electrical testing and inspection knowledge
- Experience of emergency response, standby or call-out procedures
- Previous experience acting as an Authorised Person
